Bonehead Sports was built from something much bigger than sports — it was built from family, mistakes, resilience, and the mindset to keep going.

The name “Bonehead” started long before the brand ever existed. Growing up, my grandma and grandpa would always call each other “bonehead” whenever one of them forgot something, messed something up, or made a simple mistake around the house, at the market, or anywhere life happened. It became a term filled with humor, love, and authenticity. As a kid, I picked it up too.

After my grandma passed away, the word wasn’t used as much anymore, but the meaning behind it stayed with me.

As I got older, sports became a huge part of my life. I played baseball, basketball, football, tennis, and golf, and one thing became obvious: every athlete makes mistakes. Every player has boneheaded moments.

A golfer shanks a drive, tops the ball, or forgets a club.

Even the best professional athletes in the world make boneheaded plays.
